Job Description
Supports WHO's Western Pacific research, ethics and innovation work by reviewing evidence on health-research governance and responsible artificial intelligence, analysing national ethics challenges, preparing technical materials and helping coordinate regional meetings. The internship offers students and recent graduates practical experience in policy analysis, knowledge management and evidence-informed public-health collaboration.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews and evidence syntheses on research ethics, governance and responsible artificial intelligence in health
- Research and analyse challenges facing national ethics and governance mechanisms
- Prepare background reports, briefing notes and presentations
- Support planning and coordination of technical meetings, workshops and webinars
- Maintain technical resources and support dissemination of programme outputs
Role Requirements
- Completion of at least 3 years of full-time studies in public health, health policy, global health, bioethics, research ethics, health sciences, health-related law or a related discipline
- Applicants who have graduated must apply within 6 months of completing their qualification
- Expert knowledge of English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of specialised computer programmes such as XLStat
- Intermediate knowledge of another UN language
