Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop an online module on designing training programmes for border-security agencies
- Create learning objectives, lesson plans, facilitator notes, participant materials, assessments and evaluation methods
- Convert BMSC adult-learning and intercultural-communication materials into self-paced online courses
- Adapt existing AI courses from Moodle and training materials from the 41st Staff Course cohort for the e-learning platform
- Design the platform's course structure, visual design, navigation and layouts
- Upload and test course materials while ensuring a consistent learner experience
- Incorporate BMSC feedback and finalise materials for repeated use in Staff Courses and self-paced learning
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in education, instructional design, organizational development, public administration, international relations, social sciences or a relevant field
- At least ten years of progressively responsible professional experience in capacity development, curriculum development, training design, organizational development or programme management
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with online learning platforms and digital learning tools
Desired Criteria
- Expertise in illicit drugs and cross-border drug trafficking
- Expertise in unmanned aerial systems and border security
- Expertise in dual-use technologies relevant to border management
- Expertise in organized crime affecting borders
- Experience developing training on integrity and anti-corruption in border-management settings
- Experience with border, customs, police, financial-investigation, organized-crime, counter-narcotics or technology-governance institutions
