Job Description
The consultant will support analysis of alternative and flexible learning pathways for out-of-school children in Indonesia. Working alongside a national consultant, the assignment maps policies for non-formal education, benchmarks international practice and curricula, examines inclusive gender and disability dimensions, and identifies practical pathways and support systems that can strengthen Indonesia's education response.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Map policies supporting non-formal education quality improvement
- Benchmark Indonesia's policies and curricula against international practice
- Examine accelerated-learning approaches within the non-formal education system
- Identify opportunities to integrate gender equality, disability and social inclusion into policy and curriculum
- Explore flexible learning pathways and the support ecosystem needed for out-of-school children
Role Requirements
- At least a master's degree in social science or another relevant field
- At least eight years' progressively responsible experience in education, especially non-formal education or alternative learning pathways for out-of-school children
- Experience in education-sector research, data collection, analysis and report development
- High-quality English report-writing and documentation skills
Desired Criteria
- Political and cultural sensitivity with awareness of gender, adolescent and disability-inclusion issues
- Experience with the UN or an NGO
