International Consultant to Develop, Pilot and Finalize a Competency-Based Safe and Inclusive Schools Teacher Training Package

Develops and pilots a competency-based teacher training package that strengthens safe, inclusive and disaster-resilient schools across the Caribbean, translating regional school-safety frameworks into practical learning materials, facilitator guidance and assessment tools.

• Develop a competency-based face-to-face teacher training package for safe and inclusive schools
• Translate school-safety and disaster-risk frameworks into practical curricula and learning materials
• Design facilitator guides, participant manuals, competency frameworks and assessment tools
• Consult education ministries, regional bodies and development partners across the Caribbean
• Facilitate workshops and lead validation of the training package
• Integrate inclusion, safeguarding and resilience considerations into the learning design
• Pilot, refine and finalise the regional training resource

• Postgraduate qualification or advanced university degree in education, instructional design, curriculum development, school safety, disaster risk management or a related field
• At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in education programme design, curriculum development, instructional design, teacher development or competency-based training
• Demonstrated experience designing competency-based training programmes, curricula and learning materials
• Proven experience in school safety, disaster risk reduction in education, education in emergencies or school resilience
• Experience developing adult-learning facilitator guides, participant manuals and assessment tools
• Fluency in written and spoken English

• Home-based working arrangement with Port of Spain as the published duty station
• Consultancy duration is three months
