Overview
UNICEF's national UN Volunteer specialist will help restore and strengthen health and nutrition services for earthquake-affected communities in Aragua. Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor integrated health and nutrition interventions in earthquake-affected communities
- Conduct field visits to identify service gaps and support restoration of health and nutrition points
- Strengthen maternal, neonatal, child health and nutrition services
- Train health personnel and community actors in emergency health and nutrition approaches
- Coordinate activities with authorities, service providers and humanitarian partners
- Collect and analyse programme data and prepare technical reports
Requirements
- Professional background in public health, nutrition, medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, neonatology or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in health and nutrition programming and coordination
- Experience supporting maternal, neonatal and child health, nutrition or health services
- Spanish proficiency
