UNV Especialista de Salud y Nutrición (Carabobo)

Supports UNICEF’s earthquake response in Carabobo by restoring integrated maternal, child health and nutrition services in affected municipalities. The volunteer assesses gaps, coordinates authorities and partners, strengthens frontline capacity, monitors supplies and turns field data into corrective action.

Department: Health and Nutrition Section

• Plan and monitor integrated emergency health and nutrition interventions
• Assess service gaps in communities, shelters and health facilities
• Restore maternal, neonatal, child-health and nutrition services
• Train health personnel, partners and community actors
• Coordinate local authorities and humanitarian partners across affected municipalities
• Collect and analyse programme data and recommend corrective action

• Demonstrated experience in health and nutrition
• Experience coordinating technically with local authorities and community partners
• Practical experience supporting maternal, neonatal and child-health or nutrition services
• Ability to strengthen frontline capacity through training and field support
• Ability to analyse health and nutrition data and prepare technical reports
• Fluency in Spanish

• National UN Volunteer assignment requiring regular field presence
• Monthly living allowance: USD 1,299.58
• Medical, dental, life and disability insurance are provided
• Annual leave accrues at 2.5 days per month
