Overview

The coordinator will design and deliver emergency-telecommunications training across Pacific island countries, manage workshops, simulations and e-learning resources, build national trainer capacity, evaluate learning outcomes and strengthen regional partnerships and knowledge exchange.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of the Pacific Emergency Telecommunications Cluster training programme
  • Design and facilitate workshops, virtual learning, field exercises and regional simulations
  • Coordinate subject-matter experts, facilitators and technical specialists
  • Maintain the Pacific Waves eLearning Hub and update learning resources for emerging needs
  • Build country ownership and deliver train-the-trainer programmes for national stakeholders
  • Apply evaluation methods, analyse feedback and improve capacity-strengthening activities
  • Track trainee competencies and report achievements, outcomes and lessons
  • Develop partnerships that sustain regional emergency-telecommunications readiness

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in human-resource development, training management, adult education, capacity development, organisational learning, emergency management, ICT or a relevant field, or a first degree with additional relevant experience
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian preparedness, emergency management, capacity strengthening or learning and development
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Foreign-national eligibility for this vacancy
