Emergency Telecommunications Cluster Coordinator

Coordinate Pacific emergency telecommunications from Suva, managing regional preparedness and response portfolios, advising on satellite, radio and connectivity services, leading assessments and training, strengthening early-warning systems, mobilising resources and deputising for the ETC Coordinator.

Department: Pacific Multi-Country Office Technology Unit

• Plan regional ETC preparedness, response and recovery initiatives
• Manage projects, workstreams and country engagements
• Advise governments and partners on emergency communications solutions
• Lead ICT assessments, technical missions and capacity development
• Support deployments and government-led emergency responses
• Coordinate early-warning systems and represent ETC in regional forums
• Manage partners, monitoring data, donor reporting and proposals
• Deputise for the Pacific ETC Coordinator

• Technical ability to advise on satellite, radio and emergency connectivity systems
• Ability to manage multi-country emergency telecommunications programmes
• Working proficiency in the posting language, English
