Job Description
Supports IATA's country-level advocacy and stakeholder engagement work in Spain and Portugal. Working with the Country Manager, the intern monitors policy developments, prepares briefs for high-level engagement and helps coordinate meetings, events, research and office reporting, contributing to aviation policies that support safe, sustainable and competitive air transport.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support advocacy and lobbying engagement with national and regional authorities, industry partners and aviation stakeholders
- Contribute to analysis of regulatory developments affecting airlines, including airport charges and airspace efficiency
- Support sustainability and decarbonisation work on aviation policies and national plans
- Monitor regulatory, legislative and political developments in Spain and Portugal
- Draft briefing notes, policy summaries, presentations and talking points for high-level meetings
- Prepare materials and logistics for stakeholder meetings, events, workshops and working groups
- Support data collection, reporting and internal coordination for the Madrid office
Role Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Political Science, International Relations, Law, Economics, Business, Public Policy, Engineering or a related field
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
