Leads IATA’s Philippines representation from its Manila field office, advancing aviation priorities with airlines, government and industry partners. The country manager directs the local team, monitors policy and market developments, promotes commercial products and services, ensures compliance, and coordinates regional stakeholders to support safe and sustainable air transport operations.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Philippines country team to deliver IATA's agenda
  • Maintain relationships with airline senior management and communicate IATA objectives
  • Engage government ministers, senior officials and legislators on aviation priorities
  • Monitor aviation policy, economic, environmental, finance and infrastructure developments
  • Advise regional leadership on airport, passenger and cargo operations priorities
  • Maintain relationships with air-navigation providers and aviation-safety regulators
  • Deliver business-development opportunities for IATA products and services
  • Ensure corporate fiscal, legal and regulatory compliance

Role Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Political Science or another relevant discipline
  • At least twenty years of professional experience, including five years in a similar management role
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Filipino
  • Experience leading teams and managing projects
  • Negotiation, lobbying and cultural-intelligence capability
  • Knowledge of information-technology systems and aviation and finance applications

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of other languages
