Information Technology Assistant

Provides frontline technical support for IOM users and corporate infrastructure in Costa Rica. The role troubleshoots devices, applications and communications systems; administers cloud, network, endpoint and backup services; keeps IT assets secure and documented; supports upgrades and user training; and works with central ICT colleagues to maintain reliable technology services.

• Provide frontline helpdesk support and troubleshooting for local and remote users
• Install and maintain computers, peripherals and backup systems
• Administer and monitor systems, workstations, patching and antimalware
• Monitor LAN and WAN equipment and network access points
• Administer cloud, directory, antivirus and backup services
• Maintain IT inventory and technical network documentation

• High school degree with four years of relevant cloud-services and LAN/WAN networking experience, or university degree in computer science, telecommunications or systems engineering with two years of relevant experience
• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Valid residence and work permit for the country where the position is located

• AWS, Azure or Microsoft 365 Cloud Certification
• Microsoft Certification in Windows Server and Active Directory
• Industry certifications including Cisco CCNA, Avaya, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ or ITIL
• Cybersecurity-related certifications and training
• SAP and Oracle troubleshooting experience
