Job Description

Creates a roster of consultants and personal-service specialists who can support FAO talent management on short-term assignments. Work spans performance management, learning, skills architecture, Oracle HCM transition, HR analytics, policies, guidance, workshops and continuous improvement of systems and processes.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Advise managers and personnel on performance, learning and skills initiatives
  • Support rollout of talent-management programmes across FAO offices
  • Monitor performance-management milestones and Performance Improvement Plans
  • Contribute to Oracle HCM learning and performance module transition
  • Develop skills-architecture documentation, dashboards and knowledge resources
  • Analyse HR data and prepare communications, briefings, training materials and reports
  • Research talent-management trends and recommend improved methods and tools
  • Review and update talent-management policies, frameworks, guidance and templates
  • Plan workshops, consultations and briefings and follow up agreed actions
  • Maintain accurate talent-management records, databases and tracking tools

Role Requirements

  • A relevant postgraduate degree for consultant assignments, or a relevant university or technical qualification for PSA assignments
  • Bachelor's-degree consultant candidates need two additional years of relevant professional experience
  • At least one year of relevant human-resources experience focused on talent management for level C assignments
  • English

Desired Criteria

  • Five years of relevant experience for level B assignments
  • Ten years of relevant experience for level A assignments
  • International-organization talent-management experience
  • Another FAO official language
  • Knowledge of FAO mandate and structure
  • Recognized human-resources professional certification
