Job Description
Manage UNICEF Nigeria's routine immunization and new-vaccine-introduction work in Abuja. The specialist will develop, implement, monitor and report health programmes; provide technical and operational guidance for routine and supplementary immunization; strengthen partnerships; and support sustainable results through results-based management, organisational standards and accountability processes.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support routine immunization programme development and planning
- Manage, implement, monitor, evaluate and report routine immunization and vaccine-introduction programme progress
- Provide technical and operational support for routine and supplementary immunization implementation
- Build networks and partnerships for immunization work
- Lead innovation, knowledge management and capacity-building activities
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in public health, nutrition, paediatric health, family health, health research, global or international health, health policy or management, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, socio-medical, health education, epidemiology or another health-related science
- At least five years of professional experience in public health or nutrition planning and management or routine immunization and new vaccine introduction
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language
- Experience in immunization project development, implementation and monitoring
- UN system agency experience
- Country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
