Job Description

Leads a NATO PMESII analysis team that delivers long-term, multidisciplinary intelligence on security challenges in the South. The role directs research, horizon scanning and knowledge products, translates complex political, military, economic and social developments into recommendations, and builds situational awareness that informs operational and strategic decision-making.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the PMESII team’s research and long-term strategic analysis
  • Produce multidisciplinary reports and studies on political, military, economic, social, information and infrastructure domains
  • Implement NET Assessment, alternative analysis and structured analytical techniques
  • Monitor developments and formulate recommendations to address capability gaps
  • Analyse regional challenges and stability factors to anticipate emerging crises
  • Direct and validate tailored PMESII knowledge products for the CRAS Section Head
  • Gather, integrate and interpret information for NSD-S Hub knowledge requirements
  • Prepare briefings and mentor analysts on product development

Role Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline with four years of related experience, or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training, five years of related experience and two years of function-related experience
  • Experience collecting, analysing, processing, producing and disseminating intelligence information
  • Experience preparing intelligence assessments and managing intelligence data-handling systems
  • English SLP 3333 in listening, speaking, reading and writing
  • Nationality of a NATO member country
  • Eligibility for NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Candidates must be over 21 and under 60 at appointment, subject to stated exception

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in a joint multinational environment and NATO or national operational intelligence
  • Familiarity with SoSA and Knowledge Development processes
  • NATO intelligence or alternative-analysis courses
