Full-Stack Software Engineer

Builds and evolves CERN software for network and telecommunications management, with a focus on dynamic IP provisioning, service integration and user-facing request tools. The engineer combines front-end and back-end development, database and API design, DevOps automation and collaboration with network specialists to strengthen production infrastructure across CERN.

• Develop network-automation tools for flexible IP address provisioning and live DHCP updates
• Extend IP Address Management support for Layer 2 interfaces and network-resource models
• Maintain web interfaces for CERN users requesting network and telephony changes
• Develop modules for the network and telecom management framework including firewall automation
• Develop DevOps processes and tools that improve software automation and quality
• Implement database-model and network-API changes for data-centre service integration

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
• Maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in the respective field
• National of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State
• Spoken and written English with a commitment to learn French
• No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract

• Familiarity with version control, testing or continuous integration
• Highly desired SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL and UX/UI design experience
