Finance Associate

UNDP seeks a Finance Associate in Islamabad to support financial services and transparent resource use in the Country Office. The role reviews finance transactions and accounting documentation, resolves finance-process issues, supports billing and cost recovery, manages financial-close activities, monitors compliance dashboards, and contributes financial-management knowledge sharing under the.

• Review financial transactions and supporting documentation for compliance and accuracy
• Coordinate with projects and GSSC to resolve accounting-transaction issues
• Monitor aged accounts and compliance dashboards and follow up on bottlenecks
• Coordinate data collection, billing and recovery of costs from clients
• Support financial-close milestones and rectify errors in restricted general-ledger accounts
• Synthesize lessons learned and contribute to financial-management knowledge networks

• Secondary education with specialized accounting or finance certification
• At least six years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience with high school education, or three years with a bachelor degree
• Experience using office software, spreadsheets, web-based management systems, ERP financials and database packages
• Experience in financial reviews of payments, accounting documents and audits
• Knowledge of IPSAS or IFRS
• Fluency in English and Urdu

• University degree in finance or accounting
• Internationally accredited accountancy qualifications
• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP
• Experience preparing financial reports, forecasts or projections
