Job Description
Provides technical leadership to strengthen UN Women’s Women, Peace, Security and Humanitarian Action portfolio across Latin America and the Caribbean. The international consultant will coordinate programmes, advise country offices, develop knowledge products and partnerships, and position gender-responsive responses to conflict, violence, displacement, climate shocks and humanitarian crises.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead technical follow-up of the regional Women, Peace, Security and Humanitarian Action portfolio
- Advise country offices on programme design, implementation and monitoring
- Review proposals, concept notes, results frameworks, terms of reference and strategic reports
- Identify resource-mobilisation and partnership opportunities for regional and country priorities
- Prepare technical positions, background papers and strategic inputs for regional processes
- Review knowledge products and promote evidence, lessons learned and good practices across the portfolio
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, international relations, gender studies, human development, human rights, peace and security studies, humanitarian affairs or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience designing, implementing, monitoring or managing programmes related to gender equality, Women, Peace and Security or humanitarian action
- Demonstrable experience supporting governments, civil-society organisations and international-cooperation partners on Women, Peace and Security and humanitarian-action initiatives
- Professional working proficiency in Spanish and English
Desired Criteria
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or two additional years of experience
- Experience working with the United Nations system
