Job Description
Supports UNDP and the Dominican Republic's biodiversity authorities to update the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, prepare the Seventh National Biodiversity Report and deliver BES-Net II. The role coordinates technical and administrative project work, stakeholder engagement, consultancies and documentation to strengthen biodiversity governance and implementation.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate meetings, workshops and consultations for biodiversity strategy and report activities
- Track project schedules and coordinate invitations and key stakeholders
- Maintain verification sources and documentation for completed activities
- Serve as a liaison between UNDP and the Biodiversity Directorate
- Prepare meeting minutes, briefs, records and reports
- Monitor consultancy deliverables, schedules and validation observations
- Support annual work plans, programme delivery and budget execution monitoring
- Prepare procurement, contracting and payment documentation and maintain project files
Role Requirements
- Background in Biology, Development Management, Environmental Sciences, Geography, Natural Resource Management, International Business or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated professional experience in the environmental field
- Experience with international institutions, civil society or government authorities
- Fluency in Spanish and English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in results-based project management
- Experience in virtual capacity-development activities or stakeholder facilitation
- Experience in information management, knowledge platforms, literature reviews or communications
