Education Consultant

This office-based consultancy will develop a comprehensive non-formal education learning package for Bangladeshi out-of-school children aged 10–14. The consultant will design curriculum and assessment materials, work with the Bureau of Non-Formal Education and UNICEF, validate the package in the field, and refine it for inclusive, competency-based learning pathways.

• Review BNFE policies, frameworks and existing non-formal education materials
• Develop an inception report covering methodology, workplan and design framework
• Design a competency-based curriculum for out-of-school children aged 10–14
• Develop teaching-learning materials and facilitator guides with lesson plans
• Design formative and summative assessment tools aligned with equivalency frameworks
• Facilitate consultations and review workshops with BNFE, UNICEF and stakeholders
• Support field validation, analyse findings and revise the learning package

• Open for nationals of Bangladesh only
• Education, curriculum development, educational planning, social sciences, English or a related field
• Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in education programme design, curriculum development or non-formal education
• Fluency in Bangla and English in writing and speech

• Specialised training in non-formal education, curriculum design or pedagogy
• Experience developing alternative learning programmes for out-of-school children
• Experience collaborating with BNFE, UNICEF or other development partners
• Experience in field testing and revising education packages or curriculum materials
