Job Description

This consultancy will finalise and roll out training for Youth Peer Educators and Adult Support Groups. The consultant will develop learning materials, train and mentor facilitators, coordinate adoption of the YPE booklet by local government, and document results that strengthen adolescent protection, sexual and reproductive health and prevention of child marriage and gender-based violence.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Finalise Youth Peer Educator and Adult Support Group modules and develop a complete training package
  • Facilitate technical review, stakeholder validation and revision of training materials
  • Conduct Training of Trainers and scenario-based learning sessions in Catbalogan City
  • Develop the YPE booklet advocacy plan and support local-government adoption and use
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to trained peer educators and adult support groups
  • Monitor rollout activities and prepare progress, completion and sustainability reports

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, public health, child development, development studies, education or a related field
  • At least two years of experience developing training manuals, toolkits, modules, handbooks or community capacity-building materials
  • Must be based in Catbalogan City
  • Fluency in English and Filipino

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with Youth Peer Educator programmes or adolescent participation
  • Fluency in Waray
  • Knowledge of positive youth development and gender-transformative approaches
