Job Description
This online volunteer mentor supports UNFPA Burundi interns working on population and development. The assignment builds their familiarity with population themes and UNFPA programming while supporting integrated-data management, demographic and health analysis, programme reporting, research on good practices and publication of real-time data with information-technology colleagues.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Familiarize interns with population and development themes including demographic structure, migration and urbanization
- Support creation of an integrated database to monitor implementation of the ninth programme
- Support analysis and use of disaggregated, georeferenced data on population, maternal health, family planning and gender-based violence
- Contribute to programme monitoring, communication and results
- Review existing good practices in reproductive health, family planning, adolescent health and gender-based violence
- Contribute timely, high-quality inputs to donor reports
- Produce statistical analyses linking UNFPA's mandate with population demographic dynamics
- Collaborate with information and communication technology colleagues to publish real-time data
Role Requirements
- Master/BAC level from a recognized university or education programme in demography, population, development or a related field
- Fluent written and spoken French, English and Kirundi
- Basic administration and project-management knowledge
- Computer knowledge including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and social media
