Job Description
Acts as the Deputy for the Head of Office and strategic business partner, leading UNICEF Tanzania's operations function across finance, administration, supply, logistics, ICT, facilities and security. The role steers risk-informed management decisions, value-for-money delivery and operational readiness so the country programme can achieve results for children.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Act as strategic business partner and Deputy to the Head of Office
- Lead operations support across budget, finance, administration, supply, logistics, ICT, facilities and security
- Serve as Officer in Charge when the Head of Office is absent
- Provide risk-informed analysis and solutions for programme and management decisions
- Support audit reviews and monitor implementation of audit recommendations
- Guide supply and logistics strategies, procurement and advisory support to national systems
- Oversee GSSC transactions for efficiency, performance, risk management and fraud prevention
- Ensure operational readiness for timely humanitarian assistance in fragile and humanitarian contexts
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in business administration, finance, accounting, supply, information management or a related operations field, or a recognised professional accounting designation
- At least 10 years of relevant national and international experience in operations management
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Hands-on strategic and managerial leadership experience
- Experience in Results Based Management
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Corporate ERP and IPSAS experience
- Experience with diverse stakeholder groups or multi-stakeholder partnerships
- Private-sector experience and support to private-sector fundraising
- Experience in a UN system agency, large private or public company, or a developing-country or humanitarian context
- Experience managing client-oriented work units and co-creating policy
