Job Description
Leads coordination work on child protection in peacekeeping for the Department of Peace Operations in New York. The officer will manage programme and policy development, research and data analysis, training and outreach, field-mission support, donor and budget activities, and high-level consultations to strengthen protection of children in peacekeeping contexts.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and evaluate child-protection programmes and projects in peacekeeping
- Coordinate policy development, research, evaluations and studies
- Design data-collection tools and analyse findings for planning and decision-making
- Prepare reports, background papers and other written outputs
- Plan workshops, outreach activities and training sessions
- Coordinate budget, donor and field-mission activities
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in law, political science, international relations or a related field
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management promoting and protecting children’s rights
- Experience in a conflict or post-conflict setting
- Experience designing, developing and delivering child-protection training
- Experience working in or in support of an international peacekeeping operation
- Experience in project management, donor relations and resource mobilization related to peacekeeping or child protection and human rights organizations
- English is required
