Job Description
Manage the preparation, delivery and closeout of UNESCO’s Educación para pasados violentos training event in Guatemala. The consultant coordinates participants, travel, venues, suppliers, communications and memory-site visits; supervises on-site activities and inclusion; and produces planning, pre-event and final reports documenting implementation, challenges, lessons and recommendations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Confirm national and international participants and coordinate travel documentation
- Coordinate UNESCO, CFCE-AECID, government and partner teams on agenda and resources
- Arrange venues, catering, transport, permits and memory-site visits
- Prepare information materials, identification cards, signage and participation certificates
- Supervise activities, resolve contingencies and ensure agenda delivery during the event
- Compile audiovisual material, evaluations and final event documentation
- Produce planning, pre-event progress and final reports
Role Requirements
- Professional training in cultural management, project management, international cooperation, public relations, communication, education or related fields
- At least five years of international event or project management experience
- At least four years in international cooperation or education, human rights, memory or peace projects
- Native Spanish and advanced English
- Availability for full-time work during the event week
- Own vehicle
Desired Criteria
- Experience working with UN-system agencies
- Cultural-management experience in Guatemala
- Experience designing audiovisual communication materials
