Job Description
Provides specialist conflict-analysis support for IOM's anticipatory action initiative, linking conflict dynamics with data pipelines, early-warning systems and risk analysis. The consultant will strengthen conflict-sensitive preparedness frameworks, contribute analytical products and map the Peace, Recovery and Solutions Division's strategic engagement across headquarters and country operations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Integrate conflict-related data and analysis into IOM data systems and analytical functions
- Provide technical input on conflict dynamics in data pipelines, analytical frameworks and anticipatory action systems
- Incorporate conflict indicators, escalation pathways and qualitative analysis into early-warning processes
- Contribute to horizon-scanning briefs, hotspot analyses and country-level analytical notes
- Strengthen conflict-sensitive considerations in preparedness and anticipatory-action frameworks
- Map PRSD engagement and interfaces across conflict foresight, early warning and preparedness systems
- Identify gaps, comparative advantages and priority areas for PRSD engagement
- Prepare recommendations to strengthen PRSD strategic positioning and engagement
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Conflict Studies, Political Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Data Science or a related field
- At least 7–10 years of relevant professional experience in conflict analysis, early warning, humanitarian action or related areas
- Experience integrating conflict analysis into data systems, analytical frameworks or decision-support tools
- Fluency in English, oral and written
Desired Criteria
- Experience working with international organizations, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected settings
- Familiarity with multi-hazard risk analysis, data-driven approaches or AI-supported analytical processes

Additional Information
- Contract duration: 3 months with possibility of extension
