Job Description

Supports UNDP Jamaica’s Technical Assistance Centre as a National UN Volunteer helping community outreach, participant service and event operations. The volunteer mobilizes residents, distributes event information, engages leaders, registers and guides participants, supports people needing additional assistance, manages queues, collects satisfaction feedback, supports agencies and logistics,.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Conduct community outreach to raise awareness of the Technical Assistance Centre
  • Inform residents about services dates venue and participation requirements
  • Encourage participation by vulnerable and underserved populations
  • Engage community leaders local organizations and stakeholders
  • Welcome participants register attendance and assist digital registration
  • Guide participants to services and support people requiring additional assistance
  • Manage crowd flow queues satisfaction surveys and operational issues
  • Support agencies providers logistical needs and material replenishment
  • Prepare venue and post-event materials records feedback and debriefing inputs

Role Requirements

  • Savanna-la-Mar residency
  • English proficiency
  • Basic digital literacy using smartphones tablets or computers
  • Ability to perform light physical tasks
  • Flexible event-preparation and implementation availability

Desired Criteria

  • Community-event logistics volunteer or project-implementation experience
