Social and Behaviour Change Specialist

Supports UNICEF and the Republic of Congo to strengthen Ebola preparedness and response through social and behaviour change and risk communication. The National UN Volunteer develops and monitors SBC/RCCE plans, coordinates response mechanisms, integrates inclusion and protection, maps community networks, develops communication materials, supports social listening and feedback systems, trains.

• Develop implement and monitor Ebola social and behaviour change and risk-communication plans
• Participate in national and subnational Ebola preparedness and response coordination
• Integrate gender child protection inclusion accountability and PSEA into interventions
• Map community structures networks leaders youth organizations and media outlets
• Develop and adapt Ebola communication messages and materials
• Support community dialogue social listening and community-based surveillance
• Establish feedback mechanisms and analyze community perceptions and rumors
• Train and mentor frontline actors on interpersonal communication and community engagement
• Monitor activities produce analytical reports and document lessons learned
• Support emergency assessments deployments and rapid communication activities

• Degree in social and behaviour change communication for development public health social sciences anthropology sociology psychology community development or related field
• At least three years in social and behaviour change risk communication community engagement emergency communication or public health
• Epidemic preparedness and response experience
• Microsoft Office proficiency

• Ebola Marburg cholera Mpox COVID-19 or similar outbreak-response experience
• Ministry of Health UN agency NGO or community-organization experience
• Training capacity building and community-mobilization experience
