Child Protection Officer

UNICEF Jordan seeks a national UN Volunteer Child Protection Officer to strengthen dropout prevention and child-protection systems in 300 target schools. The officer supports early-warning systems, data analysis and action plans for at-risk children, referral pathways and counselling services, educator capacity building, field monitoring and evidence-based reporting to improve safe and inclusive.

• Support school-level dropout prevention and early-warning systems
• Help schools analyse attendance and learning data to identify at-risk children
• Build educator capacity to develop and monitor individualized action plans
• Strengthen referrals between schools and child-protection and social-service providers
• Monitor counselling and psychosocial-support interventions
• Prepare reports and lessons learned on child protection and dropout prevention

• Child protection, social work, psychology, sociology, education, human rights, public policy or related field
• At least 3 years of professional experience in child protection, safeguarding, education, social work, psychosocial support or case management
• Experience coordinating with government counterparts, schools, NGOs and community organizations
• Arabic and English
