Job Description
The Budget and Programming Assistant will support WFP Ukraine's Budget and Programming Unit in Kyiv by analysing project financial performance and improving planning tools. The role reviews budgets, grants and pipeline data, develops dashboards and automated reporting solutions, and maintains reliable corporate information. It also advises stakeholders, supports resource decisions and shares data-management practices across the unit.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Review budgets and analyse project financial performance
- Analyse grants, fund balances and resource constraints
- Monitor pipelines and identify operational risks
- Develop analytical tools and automate recurring processes
- Maintain accurate budget and planning datasets
- Prepare dashboards, reports and visualisations for stakeholders
- Guide colleagues on data management and analytical tools
Role Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education with a post-secondary certificate in a related area
- Six years of relevant experience or the stated degree-and-experience alternatives
- Fluency in English and Ukrainian
- Ukrainian nationality or legal right to work in Ukraine
Desired Criteria
- University degree in finance, economics, business administration, statistics, data analytics or information management
- Training in data analytics, business intelligence, Excel or Power BI
- Experience with ERP or corporate financial systems
