Job Description
Prepares due-diligence reports and donor-assessment responses for UNESCO’s Partnerships Division, helping manage reputational risk in private-sector cooperation. The officer supports project audits and verification missions, maintains clearance and knowledge systems, and works with sectors, offices, institutes and services to strengthen partnership and resource-mobilisation processes.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the system that records due-diligence clearance requests
- Liaise with programme sectors, field offices and institutes to progress due-diligence requests
- Draft consultation letters to National Commissions and monitor responses on potential private-sector cooperation
- Conduct online searches of potential private and business-sector donors
- Prepare draft due-diligence reports for review by the Head of Section
- Prepare due-diligence communications, guidelines, training material and Committee presentations
- Help prepare responses to donor assessment questions and maintain a database of questions and responses
- Support sectors, field offices and institutes during audits and verification missions for voluntary-contribution projects
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in finance, business administration, law, economics, accounting, audit or a related field
- First-level university degree in the specified fields plus two additional years of qualifying professional experience may replace an advanced degree
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in due diligence or a related field
- Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English or French and very good knowledge of the other language

- Professional experience in multicultural working environments
- Familiarity with international organisations or the UN System
- Client orientation and ability to identify client needs and propose solutions
- Knowledge of another UNESCO official language
