Job Description

UNODC seeks a temporary Associate Coordination Officer in Vienna to support the Director of its Division for Policy Analysis and Public Affairs. The officer will coordinate programme-of-work inputs, briefing materials and divisional reporting, contribute policy analysis and monitoring systems, support high-level meetings and maintain records that enable strategic management and follow-up across the Division.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support the Director in coordinating and monitoring the Division's programme of work
  • Coordinate briefing notes, background documentation, reports and written outputs
  • Support development and rollout of monitoring and reporting systems
  • Contribute analysis of emerging policy issues and trends
  • Develop divisional workplans and document achievements
  • Prepare strategic management reports, notes and analytical summaries
  • Support intergovernmental and consultative meetings
  • Maintain records and follow-up systems for decisions and actions

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in public administration, political science, international relations or a related area, or a first-level degree plus two years of qualifying experience
  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in coordination, programme management, results-based management, drug control, crime prevention or criminal justice, or successful completion of a named UN examination
  • English

  • Experience with monitoring and reporting systems
  • UN-system or comparable international-organisation experience
  • Data analytics experience
  • French or Spanish
