Asistente técnico/a en género, economía y desarrollo sostenible

Provides technical assistance to embed gender equality in Uruguay’s economic, fiscal, energy, climate and productive-development work. The role turns evidence into decision-ready analysis and knowledge products, supports gender-responsive planning and consultancy oversight, and convenes ministries, statistics bodies and interinstitutional forums around inclusive policy and a just transition.

• Analyse disaggregated quantitative and qualitative evidence on gender gaps in economic, energy and climate policies
• Prepare descriptive analysis, estimates and costings for gender-responsive mitigation measures and productive-sector transition
• Produce technical notes, policy notes, reports, presentations and planning inputs for institutional counterparts
• Systematize regional and international evidence on gender, just transition, fiscal policy and care-work measurement
• Draft terms of reference and review consultancy proposals and deliverables using gender criteria
• Track workplans, schedules and commitments with institutional counterparts
• Facilitate and document technical meetings and present findings to ministries, technical teams and interinstitutional forums

• Completed secondary education; a Bachelor’s degree in economics, social sciences, statistics, public policy, development or a related field is considered but not required
• Six years of relevant experience with completed secondary education or four years with a Bachelor’s degree in information analysis and public policy, programme or project design, analysis or evaluation
• Demonstrable quantitative-data processing and analysis using microdata and official statistical sources
• Demonstrable gender-perspective experience in economic analysis, statistics or policy evaluation, supported by concrete products or institutional processes
• Written and spoken Spanish proficiency and English reading ability for technical documentation and international meetings
• Uruguayan citizenship or foreign domicile with intent to remain in Uruguay for the required period

• Experience with national public bodies and knowledge of Uruguay’s institutional ecosystem
• Experience in energy, industry, climate change, transport or just transition
• Experience in cost-benefit analysis, costings or socially focused programme evaluation
• Experience supervising consultancies, projects or interinstitutional processes
