Job Description

Provides financial-control and management support to at least four IFRC regional offices in Pretoria. The analyst reviews documents, cash requests, budgets, donor reports, internal controls and high-risk transactions; coordinates audits and training; maintains D365 project information; and helps country and cluster teams strengthen risk management, compliance, timely fund transfers and reporting.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Review monthly source documents and identify discrepancies or anomalies
  • Review internal controls and support delegations to address control weaknesses
  • Review high-risk procurement transactions and escalate suspected fraud
  • Review cash requests and project-management status reports
  • Coordinate annual budgeting and quarterly revisions
  • Validate donor and appeal financial reports for accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate audits and respond to audit queries
  • Train budget holders on financial management and reporting

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business administration, commerce or another relevant field
  • Full professional accountancy qualification such as CPA, ACCA or ACA
  • Seven years’ experience in financial management, accounting, audit and risk management
  • Fluent spoken and written English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience working for the Federation or a National Society is an asset
  • Experience managing and developing financial teams
  • Experience writing narrative and financial reports
