Advisor, Immunization Information Systems

Leads PAHO's technical work to strengthen immunization information systems across the Americas. The advisor guides data collection, quality assurance and analysis; supports Member States' digital registries and vaccination certificates; and turns immunization, equity and programme evidence into regional monitoring and technical cooperation to improve equitable access to vaccination services.

• Lead collection, validation, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of immunization data through regional and global reporting mechanisms
• Develop standardized methodologies and capacity-building tools for immunization planning and monitoring
• Advise Member States on electronic immunization registries, digital certificates and analytical tools
• Provide expertise on data quality assurance, information management and immunization programme assessment
• Monitor the Regional Immunization Plan and analyze equity data to identify coverage gaps
• Prepare technical reports, policy briefs and scientific manuscripts supporting evaluations and operational studies

• University degree in a health-related or information-systems profession and a master's degree in epidemiology, public health or a related field
• Nine years of combined national and international experience in disease-control programmes, including immunization-programme design, implementation and evaluation
• Fluency in Spanish or English with working knowledge of the other language

• Knowledge of French or Portuguese is an asset
