Job Description

Provides administrative, human-resources, finance and contract-management support to the UN Resident Coordinator's Office in Côte d'Ivoire. The role processes personnel and budget actions, coordinates common-services and premises work, manages records and vendor payments, and supplies data, reports and operational follow-up for the country's UN development-system coordination.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Process and follow up human-resources actions including recruitment, placement, promotion, appraisal, classification and staff separation
  • Provide staff advice on entitlements, administrative procedures and conditions of service
  • Prepare and review financial and human-resources proposals, budget submissions and performance reports
  • Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and prepare adjustments and financial reports
  • Coordinate administrative support and agreed-action follow-up for the Operations Management Team
  • Maintain records for common operational services and consolidate service-delivery information
  • Administer outsourced-service contracts, audit invoices and process contractor payments
  • Prepare UN forms and permissions and support office technology, travel, seminars, conferences and translations

Role Requirements

  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in administrative services, finance, accounting, audit, human resources or a related area
  • French and English at UN Level III in reading, writing, listening and speaking

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with an Enterprise Resources Planning system such as Umoja or similar
  • Experience with the United Nations or a similar international organisation
  • One year or more of experience in data analytics or a related area
