Job Description

Delivers human-resources, budget, finance and general-administration support for International Trade Centre's Sector and Enterprise Competitiveness Section. The assistant maintains personnel and attendance records, monitors expenditures and budget tables, manages travel and contractor payments, and coordinates files, correspondence, office technology, meetings and service-unit follow-up.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Process and follow up human-resources actions, records and staff entitlements
  • Monitor expenditures, allotments and budget variations and update budget tables
  • Review requisitions and availability of funds and support budget submissions
  • Prepare travel arrangements, routine correspondence and administrative documentation
  • Maintain work-unit files and coordinate with internal service units
  • Process contractor invoices and payments and prepare ITC forms and permissions

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of experience in administrative services, finance, accounting, audit, human resources or a related area
  • English and French are required
  • Applicants must be authorised to work for the United Nations in the Geneva duty station

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in the UN common system
  • Experience using an ERP system
