Youth Innovation Hub Project Assistant

Supports the UNDP-Tsinghua Youth Innovation Hub in Shenzhen to deliver a youth entrepreneurship and SDG innovation project. The assignment coordinates planning, implementation, finance, monitoring and partner engagement, while producing knowledge products and convening exchanges that help young people develop and scale inclusive solutions for sustainable development.

• Support project planning, annual work plans, terms of reference and implementation documents
• Design and support project activities and coordinate vendor deliveries
• Monitor implementation quality and prepare financial reports and expenditure plans
• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks aligned with outputs and results
• Maintain reporting and meeting mechanisms among the project office, CICETE and UNDP
• Support budget preparation, revisions and financial reporting
• Collect and analyse data for international learning and knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Organise international conferences and forums for knowledge exchange

• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
• Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and social media

• Youth-work experience in development-project formulation, implementation or monitoring
• Experience with the UN system, government partners or civil society
• Knowledge of UNDP programme and operations policies
• Project management experience across financial, technical and administrative areas
• Previous volunteering or cross-cultural experience
