This World Bank Young Professional supports ICSID arbitration in Washington, DC. The role assists tribunals and conciliators with legal materials, helps prepare procedural orders, reviews decisions and awards, researches investment-law questions, drafts legal documents, coordinates casework, and provides leadership and mentoring across international investment and public-law dispute settlement.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Assist conciliators, arbitrators and committee members to identify necessary legal and practice materials
  • Demonstrated ability to research complex arbitration and investment law questions, and draft documents in a clear and precise manner with limited supervision
  • Prepare role-specific technical reports and documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on operational delivery

Role Requirements

  • Law degree (JD, LLM or equivalent) and admission to the Bar (or equivalent) in at least one jurisdiction
  • 2-6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficiency in English
