Job Description

Maintains TOPFAS planning data and administrative support for the Joint Logistics Support Group Headquarters in Naples. The staff assistant manages branch information and taskers, supports planning and exercise preparation, coordinates meetings and correspondence, provides TOPFAS advice and limited training, and helps ensure complete, accurate information is available to logistics-planning stakeholders.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update Plans Branch TOPFAS data
  • Advise Joint Logistics Support Group staff on TOPFAS issues
  • Provide limited TOPFAS training when required
  • Manage routine branch information, correspondence, taskers and calendars
  • Ensure the integrity and completeness of information published for the Plans Branch
  • Assist branch and section heads in coordination with other staff branches
  • Organise meetings, video teleconferences, conferences and visitor reception
  • Support branch administration and real-life support during exercises and operations

Role Requirements

  • Higher vocational training in logistics, transport or a related discipline with three years of relevant experience, or advanced vocational training with five years of post-related experience
  • Experience in logistics-management activities
  • Experience developing plans and policy guidance for logistics-management programmes
  • English listening, speaking, reading and writing proficiency at SLP 3232
  • Applicants must be nationals of a NATO member state
  • Candidates must be eligible for NATO security clearance

Desired Criteria

  • Advanced knowledge of TOPFAS with at least six months of experience
  • Experience in a multinational or joint environment
  • Completion of TOPFAS overview, user, trainer or advanced-user courses

  • Deployments and temporary duty assignments may total up to 30 days
