Small Grants Associate

Supports UNDP Ukraine's small-grants process for area-based recovery by administering applications and agreements, monitoring grantee performance and coordinating with donors and partners. The role also organises capacity-building activities, maintains project knowledge and documentation, and embeds gender equality considerations in grant operations and community recovery support.

• Review grant applications for completeness and compliance
• Track grant applications, timelines and deliverables
• Process grant agreements, amendments and routine correspondence
• Monitor grantee performance, reports and use of funds
• Coordinate capacity-building events with project partners
• Prepare agendas, briefings and event materials
• Compile and share project knowledge, products and lessons
• Support gender-responsive grant operations and team culture

• Secondary education, or a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Law, Social Sciences, Communication or a related field
• At least six years of relevant experience with secondary education or three years with a Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance or programme and project support
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian
• Experience using computers and office software packages

• Experience engaging with local stakeholders
• Experience in grant management for community security, local development, social cohesion, civic engagement or civil society
• Previous experience with UNDP, another UN agency, government, multilateral or civil-society organisation
• Experience using UNDP Quantum for finance and administration
