Senior Project Associate

Coordinates IOM climate-action activities for resilient cities in Azerbaijan. The Associate manages implementation, budgets, procurement and reporting; liaises with government, UN, donor and community partners; supports climate-adaptation capacity building; supervises staff and suppliers; and captures lessons to ensure compliant delivery across Baku, Neftchala and Astara.

• Lead and coordinate project implementation and site travel
• Monitor activities and resolve implementation issues
• Track budgets and coordinate financial, administrative and technical project functions
• Coordinate procurement, delivery and handover of project equipment
• Plan and conduct capacity-building workshops
• Prepare correspondence, briefings and narrative and financial reports
• Maintain project repositories, lessons learned and knowledge products
• Supervise staff, suppliers and implementing partners

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or climate-change studies, political or social sciences, international relations, development, migration or related field with 5 years of experience, or secondary education with 7 years
• Experience implementing climate-adaptation, environmental-sustainability or resilience projects
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office

• Experience with vulnerable communities
• Experience in humanitarian or multicultural organisations
