Job Description

Provides human-resources support to UNICEF’s Multi-Country Office for Sri Lanka and Maldives in Colombo. The associate supports business partnering and compliant HR processes; helps deliver recruitment, onboarding, benefits, workforce planning, learning and development, organisation design and job classification; and promotes client-focused people and culture services.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, procedural and operational support across human-resources functions
  • Support business partnering initiatives and client-focused HR services
  • Process entitlements and benefits
  • Support recruitment, placement and onboarding
  • Support organization design and job classification
  • Support learning and capacity development

Role Requirements

  • Sri Lankan nationality is required
  • Secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in human resources, recruitment, staffing, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, job classification, workforce planning, learning and development, performance management or HR operations
  • Fluency in English is required

Desired Criteria

  • International organization or UN experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of Sinhala or Tamil is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of another official UN language is an asset
  • Country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts is desirable
