Summary of Responsibilities

  • Design stakeholder-engagement plans across government, business, civil society, academia, media and youth
  • Advise country and regional leaders on political dynamics, stakeholder risks and engagement strategies
  • Position public-private World Bank Group solutions through strategic narratives and marketing products
  • Lead advocacy campaigns around reforms and priority programmes in three countries
  • Oversee speeches, op-eds, press releases, talking points and multimedia content
  • Anticipate reputational risks and lead mitigation for sensitive operations and high-profile issues
  • Coordinate messaging and communications across IBRD, IDA, IFC and MIGA
  • Mentor junior staff and strengthen the regional communications network

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree with eight years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, in communication, journalism, public affairs, international affairs or a related field
  • International experience and knowledge of Latin American development, political and economic trends
  • Knowledge of or experience with government, public institutions and other key actors in Argentina
  • Understanding of World Bank Group operations and current development issues in Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Experience advising senior executives and managing messaging, stakeholder engagement, media engagement and reputational risks
  • Excellent English and Spanish writing and editing skills
