Serves as a strategic adviser on stakeholder engagement, communications, advocacy and reputational risk for the World Bank Group’s East Asia and Pacific portfolio. The officer leads complex engagement strategies, shapes narratives and campaigns, advises management on sensitive issues, and coordinates regional communications that build support for development priorities and strengthen institutional trust.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead stakeholder-engagement strategies across the region
  • Build relationships with governments, civil society, media and private-sector partners
  • Advise management on stakeholder dynamics and political-economy considerations
  • Develop strategic narratives and communications products
  • Lead advocacy and communications campaigns
  • Advise on reputational risks and issue-management responses
  • Coordinate regional delivery across Bank Group institutions
  • Mentor staff and promote communications innovation

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree and at least eight years of relevant communications, journalism, public-affairs or international-affairs experience, or an equivalent combination
  • Excellent written and verbal English
