Summary of Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with government, development, private-sector, media, academic, youth and civil-society stakeholders
  • Advise operational teams on stakeholder engagement and maintain influencer networks
  • Develop communications strategies and results stories that demonstrate programme impact
  • Lead country campaigns and support regional and global advocacy initiatives
  • Draft press releases, speeches, talking points and social-media content
  • Monitor political, social and media developments for risks and opportunities
  • Develop mitigation strategies and coordinated responses for sensitive projects
  • Use digital storytelling and data-driven communications to strengthen audience engagement

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree with five years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, in communication, journalism, public affairs, international affairs or a related field
  • Experience in an international environment and knowledge of international development trends and political and economic issues
  • Knowledge of Caribbean government, public institutions, private sector, business associations, civil society and other key actors
  • Experience advising senior executives on reputational risk, messaging, stakeholder engagement and media engagement
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills
