Communications and External Relations Officer

Coordinates advocacy, editorial planning and digital storytelling for World Bank Group regional priorities. The role develops campaigns and leadership content, packages evidence of development results, strengthens stakeholder engagement and monitors political and reputational issues to keep communications timely and consistent.

• Coordinate integrated advocacy and communications campaigns for regional priorities
• Develop campaign plans, messaging frameworks and multi-channel communications approaches
• Manage editorial calendars and review leadership and regional communications products
• Create stories, multimedia content and digital assets that demonstrate development results
• Adapt communications for web, social media and other digital channels
• Use audience insights and analytics to improve advocacy and stakeholder engagement
• Monitor political, economic and social developments and reputational issues
• Coordinate accurate communications across countries, institutions and business lines

• Master's degree with five years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, in communication, journalism, public affairs, international affairs or a related field
• Experience in an international environment and knowledge of development trends and political and economic issues
• Experience with government, public institutions, private sector, business associations, civil society or other key actors
• Experience advising senior executives on reputational risk, messaging, stakeholder engagement and media engagement
• Excellent English writing and editing skills
