Communication and Outreach Consultant

Develops and delivers communications and outreach for the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment, increasing awareness of its priorities and achievements. The consultancy creates strategy, meeting materials and multimedia products while documenting progress and recommendations for diverse regional audiences.

• Develop an AMCEN communications and visibility strategy
• Prepare communication packages for meetings and special events
• Produce multimedia products, infographics, videos and visual content
• Prepare inception, progress and final reports on consultancy outputs
• Document meeting agendas, summaries and outcomes
• Develop technical briefs, reports and policy notes

• Advanced university degree in communications, journalism, public relations, media studies, international relations, environmental policy or a related field
• Or a first-level university degree with an additional 2 years of qualifying experience
• At least 5 years of experience in communications, public information, media relations or strategic communications
• Fluency in oral and written English

• Completion of degree or non-degree programmes in data analytics or data science
• Knowledge of French
