Summary of Responsibilities
- Implement communications strategy and align activities with organisational priorities
- Plan and manage communications products and programmes with measurable results
- Identify opportunities to promote organisational initiatives through communications materials
- Manage and mentor communications staff and support recruitment and training
- Oversee communications materials, equipment logistics, budget and cross-charging mechanisms
- Coordinate internal communications and dissemination of organisational initiatives
- Set communications guidelines and provide quality control for communications programmes
- Build strategic engagement with target audiences, partners and professional counterparts
Role Requirements
- Law enforcement or governmental official within an INTERPOL member country
- At least five years of university education in communications, journalism, marketing, international relations or a related field
- Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public information, journalism, marketing, international public relations or a related area
- Experience successfully managing and motivating teams
- Professional fluency in English, including strong writing and speaking skills
- Written confirmation from the home administration or government accepting INTERPOL secondment conditions
Desired Criteria
- Experience in a law enforcement or security context with a large governmental, intergovernmental or international organisation
- Project management experience in communications contexts
- Experience planning and managing complex tasks with minimum supervision
- Working knowledge of French
- Knowledge of Arabic or Spanish

- Secondment for 36 months
