Senior Advisor, Partnerships, Blended Finance and Strategic Initiatives

Provides senior strategic advice to advance partnerships, blended finance and resource mobilization for the Joint SDG Fund. The home-based advisor identifies and develops funding opportunities, proposals and engagement strategies; manages relationships with development-finance institutions, banks, foundations and private-sector actors; leads co-creation across institutions; guides.

• Map and analyse partnership opportunities with development-finance institutions
• Develop strategic pitches key messages and engagement approaches
• Lead blended-finance engagement with financial institutions and other actors
• Advance partnership expansion funding proposals and agreements
• Align partner interests with Joint SDG Fund pipelines and catalytic-financing instruments
• Manage donor engagement reporting and strategic communications
• Lead and mentor team members

• Advanced degree in relevant field or bachelor degree with additional qualifying experience
• Ten years with master degree or twelve years with bachelor degree in strategic partnerships stakeholder engagement and relationship management
• Substantive engagement with development-finance institutions banks foundations private sector or international development organizations
• Fluent written and spoken English

• Blended finance and catalytic-financing experience
• UN development system or comparable multilateral-organization experience
• Team leadership and partnership-portfolio oversight
• Systems innovation and change-management experience
• Government development-coordination experience
