Job Description
The engineer plans and coordinates installation and maintenance work across CERN's accelerator complex, integrating schedules, safety requirements and technical interfaces for present and future facilities. Working with project leaders and domain experts, the role resolves co-activity conflicts, tracks operational impacts and maintains coordinated plans that minimise disruption to accelerator operations and infrastructure projects.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate installation and maintenance activities for current and future accelerators
- Produce baseline schedules that incorporate safety rules and quality standards
- Prepare supporting documentation and liaise with stakeholders
- Resolve co-activity conflicts with stakeholders and project leaders
- Manage operational impacts on installation and maintenance schedules to minimise delays
- Implement safety procedures for installation work
- Track progress, deviations and co-activity issues
Role Requirements
- Master's degree, PhD or equivalent relevant experience in Engineering, Applied Physics or a related field
- Experience managing large-scale technical projects
- Experience scheduling and coordinating activities for large and complex projects
- Valid driving licence
- Nationality of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State
- Spoken and written English
Desired Criteria
- Project Management Professional certification
- Experience with project scheduling and management tools
- Technical knowledge of accelerator engineering systems
